Problems in updating membership records

I have tried running the reports in the membership manager and have tried various options but only get a spreadsheet containing updated memberships.  I would really love a complete list including memberships not yet updated.

Also we are very keen to make use of the emailing facility – could you advise when this will be available.

I have also encountered the following – Last Update date even after all has been updated!

Membership Details · Network Id: 77

Annual DragonBoat SA Registration

developers note...

membership management has changed slightly with information on membership re cards and other elements being clearer.

tiered or network memberships (eg state association memberships managed by the clubs) have extra features single tier memberships do not have.

hi julie

you can get a complete list by getting "Participant Report" not the membership report, although looking at these reports i might just change them slightly to provide more membership info in the participant summary.

you can already email any report list which is brought up in the browser. look at the bottom of the report for the "email this list" button. soon you will be able to deselect some of those in the list as well but not for a week or two. click the button to go to the page where you create the email.

updating:  the system consists of three elements

  1. individual data
  2. participant data - how this person relates to your club/business
  3. membership data - any person can only have one type of membership at a time although remember that dbsa membership is different from a club membership (meaning that any person can have both)

whilst it may be good to know when the last update of an individuals details took place (to ensure data is current) for you (you see that in the top box) , it is not important that the participant data be updated(in the lower box). giving them a new membership of dbsa is totally separate -  you see the current membership details at the top of the top box.

the updated date for participant data (which you showed in your post) comes under the heading of useless information. if you really want to update that info, clcik on the nearby edit link and clcik update.

however, it is the membership info which you are interested in - it only shows current memberships (at present you can see the dbsa (networked) membership, but participants could also have a separate club membership if you were to create one. that would also appear in that box.)  you can view membership history with the link.

when you update one of the three elements, it does not update the other elements.

i hope i have answered your question, but seek clrification if not.

cheers

rs
